The Chrysalis Philosophy is a world class thinking skills philosophy which is presented by David Apparicio JP, MBE which we have embedded into our YCG Citizens™ Programme. Chrysalis thinking requires individuals to understand and manage their drivers whilst taking responsibility for managing their lives. This understanding is critical to ensure that prisoners can properly manage their affairs and plan for offence-free lives. Reoffending is an £18.1bn p.a. problem for society.
The idea that prisoners need rehabilitating via programmes is not working. The Chrysalis Philosophy is centred on reintegration into society. This requires prisoners to have a genuine stake in their communities and real opportunity.
